The DeskWriter is HP‚Äôs Mac-only version of the DeskJet inkjet printer, which swept the DOS world. Now built-in AppleTalk makes it more versatile. Although it can‚Äôt do overheads and the ink can smear, its speed is excellent and text quality is equal to that of any 300-dpi laser printer. Uses QuickDraw,  not PostScript, for graphics.
